1st Flackwell Heath Scout Group is the only Scout Group in the village, and has operated from its existing Headquarters building in Chapel Road since 1965.
Organisationally, it is a registered Group (No 36402) of the UK Scout Association, and locally is part of Marlow Scout District, which in turn forms part of Bucks Scout County,
The Scout Group works jointly with Flackwell Heath Guide District, sharing the same meeting Headquarters, Supporters Club, and Joint Executive Committee (management committee).
The Group offers Scouting to youngsters of all relevant ages, as follows:

 Beaver Scouts (boys aged 6 & 7).

Redwood Beaver Colony, (Currently not meeting because of lack of Leaders)
Silver Birch Beaver Colony,

Cub Scouts (boys aged 8 - 10½)

Cherokee Cub Pack,(Currently not meeting because of lack of Leaders)
Pawnee Cub Pack,

Scouts (boys & girls aged 10½ - 14½)

Challenger Scout Troop (boys), (Currently not meeting because of lack of Leaders)
Discovery Scout Troop (mixed)

Each age range Section, as they are called, follows a programme of training and activities geared to the capabilities of youngsters in that age range, and tailored to provide the challenge and excitement which they seek.
There is a progress award system which all youngsters in any one Section follow, with opportunities for developing new skills and interests or for furthering existing ones.
Membership of the Scout Association requires a commitment to a standard of personal behaviour, awareness of the needs of others, and acceptance of the existence of a spiritual life (a religion), all of which are bound up in and expressed by the Scout Law and the Promise.
The emphasis in Flackwell Heath Scout Group is very much on the outdoors, particularly as there is such an abundance of countryside within easy walking distance.
Each Section is run by an adult Leader, helped by one or more Assistant Leaders and/or Instructors. All adults involved with the Group are required to be screened for suitability.
